Muse in the Mist
I shot this up in the Ba Na Hills. The atmosphere up there can be quite unpredictable, one minute you're surrounded by buildings and crowds, and the next, a heavy weather system just rolls in and swallows everything. That’s exactly what happened on this day. The background faded entirely into a dense, grey canvas, leaving just this solitary bronze figure cutting through the fog.
There’s a quiet strength in the way she holds her ground on top of the globe, reaching upward despite the heavy air closing in around her. I started thinking about the mist as a sort of physical representation of the noise and uncertainty we constantly deal with. It obscures the path, distorts reality, and makes the world feel small.
But seeing her standing there got me thinking about the real nature of freedom. It isn't always about having a perfectly clear view of the horizon or an easy path ahead. Sometimes, freedom is just that stubborn resolve to hold your own space and keep your spark raised, even when you can't see what's ten feet in front of you. Stripped of the usual bright tourist backdrop by the weather, she stopped being just a piece of architecture and turned into something entirely mythological.
